Forrester Research identifies and scores the most significant low-code development platforms each year on their current offering, market presence and strategy.
The Forrester Wave - Low Code Development Platforms 2023 report continues to rank OutSystems in the prestigious Leaders Quadrant, a classification awarded to only 3 out of the 14 low code development platforms named.
The report measures each platform against 26 key criteria to help IT leaders navigate the sea of low-code platforms now that this approach to software development has entered the mainstream.

Although OutSystems doesn't specifically target citizen developers, it does improve the software development process by making it possible for "fusion teams" where BAs and developers can collaborate seamlessly due to the platform's visual nature.
Further, OutSystems is the only Leader in this Forrester Wave completely focused on professional low-code. OutSystems sees its focus on the rapid development and operations of enterprise-grade applications as a key differentiator and strength in a competitive low-code marketplace.
According to Forrester: “OutSystems is an excellent choice for firms requiring serious enterprise app dev from an independent vendor focused entirely on low-code and rapid software engineering. The firm has no glaring strategic weaknesses.”
